On Tuesday, August 17th 2021, Tracey Marie Poteet (Basham), or as she became known by her friends as “Tea Pot”, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Wisbech, England on January 28th, 1963 to Richard and Shirley Basham. After two years, they were transferred to New Jersey and the adventure began. She spent the next 18 years traveling as an Air Force brat and eventually found a home in Texas.

She loved drawing and wanted to become a comic book artist or put her love for all animals into being a vet. She held multiple various jobs meeting so many of her friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alicia Maureen Basham, and her father, Richard Basham. She is survived by her daughter Chelsea Poteet, mother Shirley Basham, sister Riki Goslin and numerous nieces and nephews. Family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charity in her name so she can keep giving.
