Doris Louella Denton November 15, 1932 – August 24, 2021

Born in Olmsted Illinois to James and Bessie Wright Odle. Lou was the youngest of 10 children and grew up a member of the Methodist church.

In 1951 she married William Denton Sr. of Rock Springs in St. Louis, Missouri. Two years later the family moved to Wyoming. He passed in 1970.

She married Don Nichols of Rock Springs in 1972. They divorced in 1979.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Son Johnny Denton of Rock Springs, a grandson Joseph Seppie of Rock Springs, five sisters, and four brothers. Survivors include one son, William Denton Jr. and his wife Joann of Grand Junction Colorado. Two daughters, Cindy Christmas of Ogden Utah. Tonja Barnum, and her husband Bob of Midland Texas. Eight grandchildren, Brandi Seppie Coudrain of Hot Springs Arkansas. Cristi Seppie Gear of Anchorage Alaska. Krystal Thompson of Grand Junction, Colorado. Lewis Story of Queens, New York. Laura Denton of Denver, Colorado. Kearu Williamson of Midland, Texas. Casey Barnum of Rock Springs, Wyoming. Billy Denton Vincent of Gillette, Wyoming. Twenty four great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, Nieces and nephews.

She was the book keeper for the family business, Rocky Mountain Casing then later waitressed at both the New Grand and Glow Room Cafe, managed the Candy and Cookie Connection in the White Mountain mall and was employed by Herbergers, but the work that was the most meaningful to her was the years she’d spent volunteering at the Young at Heart Senior Center in Rock Springs.

In 2012 she relocated to Ogden, Utah to spend time with her Daughter. Then in 2018 moved to Grand Junction, Colorado to spend time with her Son, his wife, and their family.

A family service will be held at a later time.
