Jerry and Kathleen Wayment recently celebrated their Golden Anniversary with a family dinner held at the Maddox Lodge. They were married on July 6, 1968, in the Cardston, Alberta, Canada LDS Temple.

Jerry was born and grew up in North Ogden, Utah. He retired from the Army Reserves and also from the Weber School District after teaching for 34 years. Kathleen was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada and grew up in Oregon. She taught school for the Ogden School District, helped set up the Homemaker Health Aid Program for the Golden Hours Center, taught adult education classes for Weber State and currently works for the Ben Lomond Cemetery.

They have been blessed with four children: Brett (Cortney) Wayment; Jamie (Ryan) Thorstensen; Joel (Catherine) Wayment; Kyle (Lisa) Wayment; and 14 grandchildren.

They will celebrate their anniversary by going on an Alaskan Cruise.
