DeOrr and Ardath Peterson of Morgan, celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on August 16, 2018.

DeOrr was born in Ogden, Utah, on March 8, 1929. Ardath was born in Driggs, Idaho, on February 8, 1929. They graduated from Morgan High School in 1947.

They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 16, 1948. They have five children, 20 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. DeOrr retired from Hill AFB in 1986, with 42 years of service. Ardath retired in 1987, with 27 years as a Home Ec. Teacher at Morgan High School. They served for 8 years as Service Missionaries at Temple Square. They both served in many callings in the church. After DeOrr’s retirement, he became a master wood cutter for the tole painting ladies in Morgan.

They are very community oriented and have contributed many hours to the Lions Club and other civic activities. They loved going camping and 4-wheeling in the Uintas and also following all of their grandchildren in their ball games and different activities. They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner. They love finding any excuse to have a family gathering.

Their children and their spouses are: Christine and Dick Slate, Cheryl and Ralph Jones, Tamra and Kam Sargent, Roger and Kelee Peterson, and Richard and JaNae Peterson.
