Happy 70th Anniversary!: Odell and Ethel Summers
Valley residents Odell and Ethel Summers are anticipating their 70th Wedding Anniversary.
They were married September 3, 1948, in the Salt Lake temple. They have lived at Bothwell, Thatcher and now Collinston, Utah. Farming has occupied a good deal of their lives, raising six children in their surroundings and working together in all their endeavors. Odell also worked at Hill Field and Thiokol.
Their children are Jim and Debbie Summers, Mary and Lee Monroe, Trudy and Dave Thompson, Kelly Summers, Todd and Nanci Summers and Lisa and Brad Burbank. They claim 23 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren with two on the way.
During the years they have both held numerous church callings wherever needed. Camping and fishing has been a family legacy. In later years Odell has pursued playing his xylophone numerous times each month.
A family dinner will honor them at Maddox on September 1, 2018. We are very blessed as a family to be able to enjoy each other’s company for all of these years.
