Jim and Rose Breitweiser celebrated their “60th” Wedding Anniversary with family this past week. They were married on October 2, 1958, in the Salt Lake Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. Their four children and spouses are: Curtis and Caron Breitweiser, Tricia and Warren Osborn, Cherise and Cam Anderson, and Marci and Troy McKenzi, who treated them to fun activities in Salt Lake City.

Jim and rose were both born in the Ogden Dee Memorial Hospital. Jim graduated in 1954 from Ogden High School and Rose in 1955 from Weber High.

Jim spent his career in Professional Sales and Management and founded his own business “Breitweiser Insurance Services” from which he retired. Rose worked as an Elementary School Teacher for the Weber School District. They lived in Stockton and Bakersfield, CA, before moving to North Ogden where they raised their children before moving to South Ogden.

As well as serving in many church positions, Jim served on the boards of the local and state independent Insurance Agents Assoc., The Ogden Exchange club, Hospice, and various boards at Weber State.

With Hospice, Rose spent countless hours sitting with the terminally ill in their homes, eventually attending all of their funerals. She still is an active member of the Camp and Company Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Arts International and Book Babes, She has served in most auxiliaries in her church.

Their passion has always been their family and friends. Besides all the crazy, funny things they have done over a lifetime, they loved boating, camping, traveling and supporting all their children and grandchildren in sporting and other events. If there is any activity, the “Breitweiser Family” want in on it!

They have a posterity of four children, eighteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
