Blaine and Elaine were married on October 23, 1968. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

They were high school sweethearts, both graduating from Weber High School. They spent the first part of their marriage in Nevada, then moved back to Utah, to be closer to family and raise their children. They have both retired and enjoy traveling together, but most of all love spending time with their children and grandchildren. They were blessed with four children: Shane (Kristy), Chad (Dana), Jeremy (Krystal), and Trent(Shalisa), and 13 grandchildren.
