Happy 70th Anniversary!: Paul and Betty Williams
Paul and Betty Williams of Ogden celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary this week with a family gathering.
They were born and raised in Park City, Utah, where they fell in love at Pop Jenks Soda Fountain where they both worked. Betty was the marching band majorette and Paul worked in the mines until enlisting in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was assigned to the South Pacific islands and China. He was later called up again for the Korean War.
After being discharged from the Marine Corps, Paul worked as a Utah Highway Patrolman until his retirement. Betty raised four children and worked for many years for the Ogden School District Administration.
Their 15 grandchildren and 32 great- grandchildren love visiting them and have been blessed to have them as examples of true love, hard work and dedication. Truly the “Greatest Generation”.
