Stephen and Marie Harward celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on April 3, 2019. They were married in the Logan Temple on April 3, 1969.

Stephen was born and raised in Logan, Utah. He graduated from Logan High School and served in the United States Airforce in Fairbanks, Alaska. He returned to Logan and received a Master’s Degree in audiology from Utah State University. After a year internship in San Francisco, Stephen and Marie settled in Layton as Stephen began his career in Audiology. He is the owner of Intermountain Hearing Centers-Ogden Audiology.

Marie was born in Powell, Wyoming and is very proud of her Wyoming heritage. If you’re from Big Horn Basin area, she thinks she must know you or will get to know you soon! She moved to Logan as a young child and met Stephen as a teenager. They have never stopped being high school sweethearts. Marie is an accomplished seamstress, learning from her mother as a young girl. She has been employed as a men’s tailor and owned her own drapery business for years, as well as sewn hundreds, if not thousands of articles of clothing and home d^cor for her family.

The couple enjoys traveling, riding their Harleys, skiing on both snow and water, and spending time with their family. They recently traveled to Kazakhstan on a humanitarian service mission to deliver hearing aids to those in need.

Steve and Marie are the proud parents of seven children: Bernie Jo (Steve) Ford of Layton, Marty (Lisa) Harward of South Weber, Janna (Andy) Bailey of South Weber, Stephanie (Brandon) Berrett of Layton, Mandy (Seth) Wallace of Mountain Green, Bryce (Heather) Harward of Kaysville and Kevin (Michelle) Harward of Mountain Green. They have 29 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Their family would like to thank them for all they do and tell them Happy Anniversary! They will celebrate with a special family dinner.
