Gerald (Jerry) and Barbara Dodson West were married in The Salt Lake Temple on April 3, 1959.

We were blessed with four children: Wendy (Jere) Chipp, Jeffrey (Mary) West, Melanie (Brian) Rogers, and Becky (Jim) Wilson. We have 15 grandchildren and 22, soon to be 23, great- grandchildren. We have lived in South Ogden all of our married life. It has been a wonderful place to raise a family. We are so blessed to have all of our children live nearby, and love to attend their many activities.

Jerry served in the Utah Army National Guard for six years. He worked for Bank of Utah for 22 years, and was President of the Weber State Credit Union for 20 years, retiring in 2004. Barbara retired as a secretary from Bonneville High School in 2000.

We love to travel. We have been to all 50 states, several cruises, and traveled to England, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Venezuela, Mexico, Canada, and enjoy going to Hawaii often.

Jerry served a mission to the Central States. He was Bishop, and we have both enjoyed many church callings, and served a mission in the Inter-city Ogden together. We have had many great experiences through our church callings.

We will be celebrating with our children at a family dinner. We are so thankful for family, and for many friends through the years.
