Richard and Jean were married on August 15, 1969, in the Manti Utah Temple. They are the parents of eight children, (two deceased) and 15 grandchildren.

Richard was born in Sweet Home, Oregon and raised in Manti, UT. Jean was born in Mt. Pleasant, UT, and raised in Fountain Green, UT. They have lived in Mantua for the past 20 years, prior to that they lived in Sunset, for 27 years and Ogden, for three years.

Richard retired from Hill Air Force Base in 2009. They served a mission together in Richmond, Virginia and have enjoyed working as ordinance workers in the Brigham City Temple.

They will be celebrating their anniversary on August 24, 2019, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the church 237 S. Willard Peak Rd., Mantua, UT; and invite friends & family to join them. No gifts, please.
