Celebrating 60 Years Together!: Gaylen and Nancy Hansen

Gaylen and Nancy Hansen of Plain City celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary at Maddox with family. They were married February 4, 1959, in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was born August 21, 1936, to Kermit Victor and Eva Mae Gardner Hansen. Gaylen served an Eastern Canadian Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He taught history and coached for Weber District. He played with and coached many winning teams, played in a dance band, and sang at many events.

She is the daughter of William Theron Rhead and Vivian Knight Rhead. Born on August 9, 1937, she grew up and lived on a farm. She taught 30 years for Weber District. Nancy likes to keep busy reading, doing genealogy, needlework, and sewing. A favorite memory of hers is traveling with her family.

Both are graduates of Weber High School, Weber College, and Utah State University. They love attending church and have held various church callings. Both enjoy fishing in Montana and spending time with family. They have supported many ball teams and love attending games. Friends joke about them being attached at the hip, but have shared many wonderful memories with family and friends.

They love, support, and cherish each member of their family. Their children and their spouses are David and Lisa Arnold, Mark and Shanna Hansen, and Jeff and Amy Dixon. They have six grandchildren and soon to be seven great-grandchildren.
