Jim & Jeanie Bean of Layton were married July 4, 1969, in Ely, Nevada, and were later sealed in the Manti Temple.

Jim is a retired Data Systems Manager for the phone company; and Jeanie is a retired Business Manager for a variety of firms in Colorado and Oregon.

They have four children: Leslie Bean of West Valley City, UT; Cindy Battles (Alan) of Provo, UT; Cindy Johnson of Eagle, ID; Mike Macrum (Alane) of Layton, UT. The have nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Beans appreciate the entire nation celebrating their anniversary each year with fireworks and patriotic music and events. This being their 50th anniversary, they were with family and friends in private festivities.
