Happy 50th Anniversary!: Richard and Shirley (Kenley) Lemmons

By Staff | Jun 9, 2019

Richard and Shirley Lemmons were married on June 6, 1969 and are celebrating 50 amazing years. They will celebrate this great milestone with a family vacation with all of their children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.

Richard was born in Southern Utah and moved to Northern Utah as a child. He spent his summers on the farm in Toquerville, Utah hunting skunks and eating watermelon. He was the first graduating class of Clearfield High and later graduated from Weber State University. He served in the Marines and is a Vietnam Vet receiving a Purple Heart. Shirley grew up in South Ogden where she had a happy childhood playing with her eight nieces and being spoiled by her parents. She graduated from Bonneville High where soon after Richard snagged her up and they were soon married. Over the years they have enjoyed square dancing, bowling, camping, working in the yard and attending endless sporting events for their children and grandchildren. They truly are the best grandparents ever!

They are the proud parents of three children: Brad (Trina) Lemmons, Doug (Jen) Lemmons, and Lisa (Billy) Schofield. They have seven granddaughters, three grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

They reside in West Point Utah, where they have lived for many years. We love you Mom & Dad, happy anniversary!
