The children of David Steele and Sharon Nauta Steele invite family and friends to join us in celebrating our parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary. We will host an Open House in their honor on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. The gathering will take place at the “white church,” an LDS meetinghouse located at 3488 W 300 N in West Point.

Dave and Sharon are high school sweethearts who met in a German class at Clearfield High School. They attended Utah State University together, both pursuing careers in education, and were married on June 5, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Dave and Sharon were both raised in Clearfield. They raised their family in Sunset and West Point, where they have made their home since 1982. Professionally, Dave was a math teacher and administrator and Sharon was a homemaker and English teacher.

The Steeles are the parents of seven children: Jennifer Christensen, Stacee (Jim) Knight, Mike (Kandra) Steele, the late Matthew Steele, Christie Steele, Julie (Jared) Lloyd, and Kevin (Paige) Steele. They also have one special daughter-in-heart, Timarie Buckley Scheaffer. Dave and Sharon retired together in 2012. They serve selflessly in their community and enjoy spending time with their 26 grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. Happy Golden Anniversary, Mom and Dad!
