Ron Halbert Sr. turns 80 years old on October 31, 2016. He was born on Halloween in 1936 to Elmer and Wanda Halbert. Ron has been all over Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming going to several schools, and graduating from Superior Wyoming High School in 1954.

Ron moved back to SLC and met the love of his life, Ruth Della Brady. They married in 1955 and are still going strong 61 years later.

They had six children, five girls, and one boy. They all graduated from Roy High School. They also have 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Ron and Ruth moved to Roy in 1969 where Ron opened Builders Bargain Center. In 1988, they moved down to Moab where he opened Moab Building Center, K&R Foods, and a RV park. Ron loved playing golf. When he was in Moab, he was President of the Country Club Golf Course.

In his younger years, Ron played fast pitch softball and went to four world tournaments. He also loved to bowl. Ron is now retired and lives in Roy. These days he enjoys going to Wendover, watching his son coach football, walking their two fur babies, Jimmy and Ruby, and playing Yahtzee with the love of his life, Ruth.

Ron celebrated with his family at a surprise party at Sizzler Saturday, October 29, 2016..
