Happy 80th Birthday!: Gordon Williams

The family of Gordon Williams, a long-time resident of Riverdale, UT are happy to announce his 80th birthday. Gordon celebrated his birthday with a family dinner at the Prairie Schooner.

Gordon was born on March 29, 1939, to Leroy and Elsie Williams in Malad, Idaho. The family moved to Ogden, UT in 1943, where he was raised alongside his two brothers Gary Williams (deceased) and Lynn Williams (deceased).

Gordon graduated from Ogden High School in 1957, where he excelled in sports. After High School, he went to work for Hill Air Force Base and was drafted to the US Army in February 1962, serving two years stationed in Fort Collins Colorado, Fort Seal Oklahoma, Fort Hood Texas and one month in Germany. After leaving the army in 1964, he returned to work at Hill Air Force Base.

He met the love of his life Anita Prevedel, they were married on September 19, 1964, and moved to Roy, UT. Gordon and Anita have three children; Jodi (Jeff) Nalder, Scott (Carla) Williams and Cindee (Blair) Himelright, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Gordon is very family oriented and loves spending time with his family at parties. He loves attending his grandkids sporting and dance events. He is also a Weber State fan, having attended many basketball and football games. He loves the game of golf and was a member of the Riverside Golf Men’s Association for 36 years.

Gordon and Anita are very active and love to travel. They have taken several cruises as well as traveling to Hawaii, Italy, Alaska and many other states.
