Jeannine was born February 2, 1929 to David and Ivy Johnston. She was raised in Clinton with her six brothers.

While living in Clinton, she met and married Jack DeWitt. Jack passed away in 2004. They moved to Sunset and raised three children; Mike (Maxine) DeWitt, Susan (Scott deceased) Anderson, and Melissa (Reed) McAllister. She has eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jeannine worked for 40 years with Davis School District Nutrition Services. She has faithfully served in many church callings throughout her life. Her highlight was serving as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple. Currently, she stays very active in Family History research, enjoys gardening, handwork and dear family and friends.
