Happy 80th Birthday!: Theo G. Cox

Theo has lived in Hooper, Utah his entire life where he runs the R. Howard Cox Family Farm enjoys his Longhorn cattle and playing with his nine great- grandchildren.

He recently retired from Hill Air Force Base after 58 years. Theo is currently serving as the President of the Hooper Irrigation Company (20 years), Vice President of the Weber River Rights Committee, and President of the Weber River Water Users Association. He was presented with the “Lifetime Service Award” by the Utah Water Users Association. He also served on the Hooper Township Council for many years and on the first Hooper City Council.

Theo is known in parts of Idaho, Wyoming, and Southern Utah for his delicious tomatoes, and big peppers from the Cox Farm. His hobbies include fishing, camping, and ATV riding with his family and friends, attending Weber State University basketball games, watching dance recitals, viewing old westerns, and hanging with his dog Cowboy.

He and his wife Janeal will celebrate 60 years of marriage in March. They have three children: Jeff (Debbie) Cox, Shelley Idaho, Steve (Brenda) Cox, Clinton Utah, and Lisa (Wade) Northrop, Hooper Utah, and seven awesome grandchildren.

The family celebrated his birthday with a dinner at Timbermine Restaurant. Theo & Janeal also celebrated in Hawaii.
