Bessie Forbes celebrated her 90th birthday February 16th at a luncheon with her family.

She was born February 15, 1929 in Woodruff, Utah to George W. Eastman and Sarah Lorinda Bryson. She married Lewis E. Forbes on November 10, 1953 in Clearfield, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Lewis celebrated 52 years together before he passed away.

Bessie’s first job was working at South Side grocery store in Morgan during WWII when she was 14 years old. She retired from Gibson’s in South Ogden after working there for 12 years.

Bessie loved her time serving in the Relief Society Presidency of the Layton 3rd Ward. She also loved the years spent tending her grandchildren. She enjoys associating monthly with the ladies in her Fun Bunch at their various luncheons. Bessie is still very active and loves to go out with friends and family.

Bessie has six children, ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her family and friends love her very much and are so blessed to have her in our lives.
