Happy 90th Birthday!: Elias Harris Adams

Elias Harris Adams, “Mr. History”, known for his knowledge of Layton and surrounding communities, is celebrating 90 years.

He was born March 12, 1929, in Clearfield to Clyde and Ruth Adams where his family lived until WWII took their farm for what is now Freeport Center. They moved their house to a new farm in Layton.

He graduated from Davis High in 1947, after meeting his future wife, Ethel Howard. He attended USU, married Ethel, served in the Central States Mission, farmed, sang in the Tabernacle Choir, served in community and church callings, and later graduated with a finance degree from Weber State. His financial employment was at Ogden Credit Bureau and First National Bank of Layton.

His children are: Judith Wilson, Howard (Sally) Adams, Eve (Dan) Carlsruh, and Annette (Clark) Mabey. He has 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and growing.

The family is hosting an Open House on Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the LDS chapel 1402 N. Fort Lane, Layton. All friends are invited.
