Dorotha H. Dearden, of South Ogden celebrated her 90th birthday Saturday, May 25, 2019, at a family gathering.

She was born May 26, 1929, to Louis Mathias and Chloe Marble Hammer in Brigham City. She attended Lincoln Elementary School, Box Elder Jr. High School and Box Elder High School.

She married Farrell A. Dearden October 1, 1948. Their vows were solemnized on March 2, 1950, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple. He passed away September 17, 2009.

She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many church positions; she also served LDS missions to Peoria, Illinois and Manila, Philippines with her husband and served in The Ogden Temple as ordinance workers.

Her children and their spouses are Catheryn (Melvin deceased) Hackworth, Roy, Kent (deceased) and Rhonda Dearden, North Ogden, Craig (Sheryl) Dearden, Willard, Paul (Renee) Dearden, Roy and Gaylen (DeeAnn) Dearden, Roy. She has 21 grandchildren (1 deceased) 60 great-grandchildren (2 deceased) and four great-great-grandchildren. Her interests are family, church, music and home.
