October 16, 1929 ~ December 17, 2014

NORTH OGDEN – Geraldine Hull Tittensor, beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother returned home to her loving Heavenly Father, and into the arms of many loving family members on December 17, 2014, after living a life full of love, compassion, and service with her family.

She was born on October 16, 1929 in Ogden, a daughter of Glen and Ruby (Simpson) Hull. She married Glenn Eugene Tittensor on June 18, 1948 in Weber County. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She lived in Ogden and North Ogden all of her life. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1948.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings throughout the years; including callings in the Presidencies of the Relief Society, Young Womens, and Primary. She also served in the community and was a very active member and leader in the North Ogden Civic League.

Mom loved a lot of things, but was devoted first and foremost to the love and care of her family. She spent her life valiantly caring for us and our brother Greg who became chronically ill at a young age.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our mom for her constant love and care for our family, especially the needs of our brother Greg as she trained for and provided dialysis care and other medical care in the comfort of our home. She also served and cared for her aging parents up until the time they both passed away.

Mom was so devoted to us kids and loved us more than anything. We were the center of her world. She was a great example of Gospel principals in our home, both through example and in study. She instilled in us at a very young age the importance of obeying all of Heavenly Fathers Commandments.

Mom had many talents and was known for her beautiful penmanship and creativity. She was an excellent artist although she would never admit to it. She was an amazing seamstress, and sold many of her creations at the Mormon Handicraft in Salt Lake City. Moms handmade dolls were the rage in the 80s and she could barely keep up with the orders, mostly custom orders.

Her grandkids were always dressed to the nines in beautiful hand sewn dresses. She could also grow plants, and truly had the gift of a green thumb. Her plants would always outgrow our house. She grew a six coffee tree plant into a 14 tree that blossomed and bore coffee beans for 30 years.

She was Squeaky Clean, and very much a perfectionist and it showed in the way she kept up us kids and in the immaculate way she kept our home and yard.

Mom loved her childhood and teenage years. As a young girl she loved to play at her Grandpa and Grandma Simpsons farm in Hooper with her cousins and friends. During her teens she was very involved in the clubs and other activities while attending Ogden High where she was also a nominee and runner up in Ogden Highs royalty Rebeccas Court.

Mom also loved to talk about her employment at the Egyptian Theatre where she was one of only a handful of girls chosen to be usherettes at the theatre. The Egyptian Theatre is also the place our dad chose to propose to our mom.

She loved her grandkids with a passion and enjoyed spending endless hours with them especially at the family cabin in Island Park Idaho.

Mom was known for her beauty, but was even more beautiful on the inside.

Hardworking, loving, selfless, and always putting others needs before her own are just a few of the many attributes that will be remembered about her.

Heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness, and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind. We love you mom! She is our angel.

Surviving are her son, Brent Eugene (Barbara) Tittensor and one daughter, Jeri Ann (Steven) Gray of North Ogden; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Glenn Tittensor, parents, Glen and Ruby Hull, brother, Don (Lavon) Hull, husband, Glenn Eugene Tittensor; grandson, Gregory D. Gray and sister, Glenna Elaine Hull.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Lotus Park and Hospice for the love and compassionate care they provided for our mom in her final hours.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. a t Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 E. 2850 N.
