Dolores Victoria Smith, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, joined her soul mate on March 16, 2016. She was born on April 12, 1946 in Anaconda, MT to Jesus and Juaquina Rodriguez.

She married Brent Smith on May 13, 1964. Together, they raised four children: Tracy (Harry) Nunn, Todd (Kristy) Smith, Jessica (Aaron) Johnson, and Brent Jr. (Michelle) Smith. They relocated to Ogden, UT in 1969 where they built a life and raised their family.

She worked at Iomega followed by West Test Engineering before retiring to care for her husband. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, trips to Wendover with her husband, being with her dogs, Flash and Butch, as well as feeding anyone who entered their home.

She was a devoted grandma to her seven grandchildren: Chase, Kylee, Kaden, Tyson, Hunter, Trinity and Jaida. They were the loves of her life. You always knew where you stood with Dolores. She was strong, loved her family fiercely, and had a very forgiving heart.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, four sisters: Andrea, Adela, Cecilia, and Anita; and a brother, Ruben; and lifelong friend, Josie Sepulveda. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters: Mary and Chello; four brothers: Caletono, Junior, Tony, and Ray; and a very special son, Cory Owens.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd, at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016.

We would like to thank Dr. Sobotka and the staff at McKay Dee Hospital for all they did for our mom.

A mothers love for her children is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path. We will love and miss you forever Mama. Love Tracy, Todd, Jessica, and B.J.
