Charles was born to Bryant W. Colson and Sara C. Woodward in Tampa, FL. At the age of nine, the family moved to New Orleans, LA. He married Shirley M. Tassin in 1956. They had a son and daughter. They later divorced.

He was in the Army for five years and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He went to work at H.A.F.B. in 1967 as a machinist. He retired in 1993 as a supervisor over a planning and engineering dept.

He is survived by his son, C. Kenny Colson Jr. and a daughter, Carol A. Rodriguez. He has four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, P. Virginia Colson, in 2002 and his mother in 2006.

Graveside Services will the held Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT.
