December 11, 1930 ~ December 30, 2016

John J. Lovelace, age 86, passed away at his home, into the arms of our Savior on December 30, 2016. He was born December 11, 1930, to Percival Williams and Annie Masters in Panama. On March 29, 1958, John married Martha Elliot and was happily married for 30 years.

John served in the U.S. Air Force for over 28 years as an Electrical Engineer which included a tour in Vietnam. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he served his community as a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.

John was also a devoted member of the Church of God in Christ.

He owned a number of small business and his success can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his natural mechanical ability. His attention to detail was legendary. He spent most of his free time building computers while enjoying the company of neighbors and friends.

John was preceded in death by his son, John J. Lovelace and his ex-wife, Martha A. Lovelace. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and is survived by his sons, Michael, David, Paul, Richard; daughter, Jo Illingworth, and daughter-in-law, Cheryl; four grandchildren; Aladene, Alexis, Adrianna, Chantell Kidd and his sisters, Ana Colon and Roma Regis.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Clearfield Memorial Park, 1050 S. State Street Clearfield, UT 84015.
