Ole Kent Berg

Ole Kent Berg passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by his loving family.

Kent was born to Echo Hortense Nebeker and Carl Knudsen Berg on June 16, 1936, in Ogden, Utah, the youngest of four children. He grew up in Ogden and graduated Valedictorian, Ogden High School, class of 1954. He received an associate degree from Weber State College and a BA in philosophy from the University of Utah in 1965.

He served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Western Canadian Mission from 1956 to 1958.

He married the love of his life, Myra Henderson, June 5, 1959, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised six children.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Foothill Stake Center, 1933 S. 2100 E. Salt Lake City, Utah. Services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior, at the same location.

Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 South, immediately following.
