Brandon Payton Day

May 27, 2018

July 20, 1984 ~ May 17, 2018

Brandon Payton Day, age 33, passed away on May 17, 2018, after a very long battle with drug addiction. Brandon had requested that, if his addiction took his life, he wanted his obituary to be honest about that, in hopes that his story could be yet another example of the epidemic that is currently taking so many lives and affecting so many families.

Brandon was a happy, outgoing person with a sparkling personality and a great sense of humor, even while he was struggling with his own demons. He fought hard, not only for his own life, but for the lives of others as well.

For years, Brandon has spoken to high school groups about the dangers of drugs and used his life experiences as a warning for others. His dream was to work in the field of drug treatment and recovery to help others in their fight for life.

Brandon had three precious daughters that were his world. He adored them more than they will ever know, and it is heartbreaking that they will now grow up without their loving daddy and are too young to remember him and how much he loved them.

Brandon has left behind his beautiful wife, Carly (Chipman) Day; and his adorable daughters: Havyn, Scarlett, and Quintyn. His loss will also be felt deeply by all who knew him, but especially his grandparents, Thell (Ted) and Karen Day; his in-laws, Bruce and Sheila Chipman; his parents; step-parents; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings.

Funeral services will be held at Myers Mortuary, 250 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. There will also be viewings at the mortuary on the evening of Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. and, before the funeral from 10 to 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help his sweet girls in their future. An account has been set up at America First Credit Union. Donations can be made to the Brandon Day Memorial Fund at any AFCU branch or on-line into account #9102112.
