1984 – 2021

My perfect Eternal Companion and our Gentle Giant returned home to his loving Savior’s arms on August 29, 2021 of injuries sustained in an accident on a youth mountain bike activity. Blake was our shining star and light of righteous goodness to our family.

He was born with his twin sister Laura on November 8, 1984 the son of Richard and Karen Thompson. He was known as one of “The Three Littles” in his youth.

He graduated from North Ridge High and from the Western Governors University with an MBA. He was nearing graduation with his second Master’s degree in Information Technology. Blake loved learning, music and singing in the high school and college choirs.

Blake served a mission to the Russia St. Petersburg Mission. He was always courageous, valiant and true to his faith. Serving was Blake’s highest priority. He was currently serving as a Counselor in the Ward Bishopric and had served in many church callings. He always had a love for people, especially the youth and his ward family. He was often seen with a child by his side or teaching the youth.

Blake married his eternal companion, Wendy Brunetti in the Logan Temple on November 16, 2006. His greatest accomplishments and joy was his wife and two sons. Together they loved their Thompson family adventures of camping and traveling.

He loved working with his Deseret Mutual Benefit Association family.

Blake is survived by his wife Wendy, sons Hyrum and Jack, his parents Richard and Karen Thompson, siblings Eric Pectol, Jana Pectol, Ryan (Michelle) Pectol, Sheila Pectol, Benjamin Pectol, Brent (Chantelle) Pectol, Laura (Mitchell) Jolley, Kate Stockard, sister-in-law, Shanea (Tim) Graham, grandmothers Dawn Nodzu, Marilyn Brunetti, Lou Jean Stanger, mother and father-in-law Ann and Steve Brunetti, Wendy’s sisters and brother, Stefanie (Doug) Nay, Stacie (Aaron) Cain, Kyle Brunetti and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
