Dec 3, 2021

Grant Monroe Johnson, 74, passed away on November 29, 2021. He was born on April 6, 1947 to Frank (deceased) and June Johnson. He was raised by his mother and stepfather Howard Singleton from the age of 5.

He served in the Vietnam War as a soldier in the US Army after graduating from Ben Lomond High School. He later received an Associates Degree from Weber State University. He retired from Hill Air Force Base where he worked as an aircraft mechanic.

He married Tarri Williams in 1971; they later divorced. Together they had 3 sons who meant the world to him. He devoted his life to ensuring their happiness.

Grant was exceptionally generous with his time and money, he was the kind of guy that would give a stranger the shirt off of his back. He had a strong work ethic, a love of buying and selling anything and everything, loved a good joke, and was always ready for the next adventure.

He is survived by his 3 sisters: Darlene (Jerry) Senn, Marlene (Bob) Stone, and Francine Rice as well as his 3 children: Matthew Johnson (Billie Jo), Mark Johnson (Gina), and Luke Johnson (Bridget), and his 6 grandchildren: Gage (Hannah), Jake, Landon, Owen, Drew, Abigail, and Aubree

In lieu of flowers Grant would prefer you help someone in need or donate to your favorite charity.

Family and friends may pay their respects at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th St Ogden on December 11, 2021 from 11 am-1 pm. Graveside Services will follow at the Plain City Cemetery, 4373 West 1975 North, Plain City, Utah.
