Anna J. Lang, Ph.D.

December 3, 1948 ­– December 13, 2021

Dr. Anna J. Lang (Elliott) passed away on December 13, 2021, at age 73.

She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

She attended UCLA, where she earned all of her degrees, culminating in a PhD in Geography for environmental field work performed at the Deep Canyon Reserve. She was a gifted and innovative educator, teaching at UCLA, University of Oklahoma, University of Miami, and Weber State University.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years (Harold Elliott), daughters (Dora Elliott Hamilton and Sarah Elliott), stepdaughter (Laura Elliott Adams), grandchildren (Alexander and Andrew Hamilton), father (Murray Lang), and sisters (Paula Drake and Barbara Lyons).

She was preceded in death by her mother (Florence Lang) and brother (Eric Lang).

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
