Nov 19, 2021

October 11, 1946 – November 12, 2021

Lynn Andrew Taylor peacefully passed away, entering the Kingdom of God, in the early morning hours on November 12, 2021, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born October 11, 1946, in Ogden, Utah, and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Peter Clarkson Taylor and Cathleen Law Greer Taylor. Lynn married Marsha Craven November 11, 1972; they later divorced, but remained close supportive friends over the years, and cared deeply for one another. Lynn is survived by three children: LaShelle (Brian) Gilbert, Stephanie (RJ) Taylor, Zach (Callie) Taylor; as well as six grandchildren: Schuyler, Carsen, Maleya, Brielle, Tessa and Coen; two sisters, LaBina (Brian) Jorgensen and Patsy Kirchman; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Etta Mae Allred and Cathleen Norris, and his brother Robert Taylor.

In his younger years, his hobbies included competitive ice and roller skating, in which he won many awards. He attended Ogden High School and studied business at Weber State University. As a young adult, he owned and ran Empire Skating Rink in Ogden. His nieces, nephews, and family members are left with many fond memories of skating at his rink. Other careers included working as a clerk for the railroad. In his adult life, he found great pleasure in riding his bike, reading the newspaper, shooting guns, watching movies, and spending time with family. He found tremendous pride and joy in being with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and enjoyed spending time at his local chapter.

Lynn was a conservationist. He cared about conserving energy, the environment, and was an avid recycler. He lived a simple life, which offered many valuable lessons. He was known as a kind, quiet, humble, and gentle soul. He never sought attention, and was often the observer at most gatherings as he watched with a smile. Memories of his funny personality and unique sense of humor will remain cherished. His physical presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

As per his wishes, there will be no services or celebration of life. He will be cremated, and his cremains will be spread in the mountains. In lieu of flowers, please consider doing something for the environment, or making a donation to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. https://www.foe.com/Charities/Donate.
