Shelly Jean Leffingwell

Shelly Jean Leffingwell, passed away with her family by her side on October 10, 2021. She was born on May 8, 1958 in Ogden, Utah. She was the daughter of Max Nielsen and Nancy Jo Masters Swertfeger.

Shelly graduated from Weber High School and married Ronald Leffingwell on November 15, 1976. Together they had three daughters, Nancy, Teasa, and Audree. They later divorced but remained close friends. Shelly later met her honey, James (Jim) Ogden Dickson, whom she spent 30 years with.

Shelly was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and listening to music. She was considered the green thumb of the family and treasured her plants. Shelly collected MANY items and antiques throughout the years and enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing. Her love of her dog, Chiffawn, came second only to her family. Shelly and Chiffawn are now cuddling in heaven together as they look down upon us. She will be dearly missed.

Shelly is survived by her honey Jim, daughters Nancy (Jorden) Dopp; Teasa Leffingwell (Julian Archuleta) and Audree (Stanley) Charles, grandchildren Jayden, Alicia, Alyssa (Mannee), Jenicka, Shyann, Liam, Jaxon, Quentin, Kameron and four great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her siblings Dana Stocks, Carey Nelson, and Stefan Swertfeger.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, MacKenzie.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. ­- 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, Utah.
