Steve Bovero, age 68, of Truesdale, Iowa died October 15, 2021, at his home in Truesdale.

Steve Ronald Bovero was born October 27, 1952, in Ogden, Utah to Louis and Pauline (Richins) Bovero. Steve went to school in Ogden, Utah.

Steve was united in marriage to Melinda Bovero. They were blessed with five children: Jennifer, Justin, Jessica, Brandon, and Tyler.

He was a councilman for the City of Truesdale. He was also a volunteer fireman. Steve loved to perform and create music. He played in multiple bands with various musicians including his children and wife. Steve also enjoyed model trains and woodworking. Steve watched John Wayne and military movies. He was always telling jokes. He loved Christmas time and loved decorating for Christmas.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Melinda Bovero of Truesdale, Iowa; children: Kresta (John) Norman; Jenn (Chad) Taylor; Justin (Brittie Crooks) Bovero; Jessica (Clint) Roberts; Brandon Bovero; Tyler Bovero; brothers: Brent (Larene) Bovero of Ogden, Utah; Eddie Bovero; sister, Connie (John) Slater of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren: Kayla (Dustin) Jones; Stephanie Norman; Zachery Bovero; Matthew Taylor; Andrew Taylor; Samantha Bovero; Hannah Taylor; Gavyn Taylor; Jaxon Taylor; Ethan Roberts; Evan Roberts; Eli Roberts; Ella Roberts; Tristin Crooks; Tacey Crooks; Addison Bovero; and extended family and friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Pauline Bovero; Howard, Carl, Richie, Gerald, and Patty Lou.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place Friday, October 22, 2021, from 5-8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in STORM LAKE. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
