“Together Again”

1938 — 2021

Our loving mother and grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone, was reunited with her eternal companion on September 10, 2021. She was born March 12, 1938 in Ogden to Carl Walter and Hazel Alice Taylor Manzel. Arlene attended Ben Lomond High School.

On February 16, 1955, she married her childhood sweetheart, Richard D. Love and they were later sealed in the Ogden Temple. He died on September 28, 2007.

Arlene was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. For 40 years, she worked for Aspen Care Center as the Resident Care Coordinator and was highly esteemed and loved by everyone.

Some of her greatest joys besides her cherished family, included camping, fishing, gardening and collecting antiques and stuffed animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Forest Manzel, her husband, Richard, her son Danny, and a grandson John R. Love and daughter-in-law, Meg Love.

She is survived by her sons John (Sheila) Love and Perry (Lorrie) Love, and daughters Sheri (Dan) Smith, and Laurie Ann Love (Michelle Day), 13 grandchildren,32 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday September 18, 2021 at the Paradise Acres ward, 236 Porter Avenue, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah and at the church prior to the services from 9:40-10:40 a.m.

Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
