1932 – 2021

“Together Again”

Our sweet mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on September 22, 2021, joining her eternal companion.

Marlene Morrison Adam was born on March 31, 1932, to Grace Heiner Morrison and John L. Morrison. She grew up in Ogden where she attended the Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. She married Robert Earl Adam on June 6, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Before settling in Ogden, Utah they lived in California and Colorado for a short time.

She worked a part-time job at Farr’s Ice Cream in Ogden in her senior year of high school, which she enjoyed at lot. For many years she baked and decorated wedding cakes with all their fancy trimmings. She also worked at Montgomery Ward, IRS, and the Senior Citizen Lunch Program which she absolutely loved. She put her whole heart and soul into helping these friends she loved, and they loved her.

Marlene enjoyed being with her family, planning family picnics, and organizing family parties. She never forgot a birthday and enjoyed sending cards of love to those who were in her thoughts. She had a kind, loving and caring heart that was a great example to her family. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings and had a strong testimony.

She is survived by her children: Bob (Cathy) Adam, Susan (Dave) Trussell, Terry (Richard) Olsen, Debie (Kim) Ipsen, Rich (JaNae) Adam, 14 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Daone (Lynn) McComb. She is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

The family would really like to thank the staff at “Our House” assisted living and Atlas Homecare and Hospice for all their love and care for our mother. You have truly been amazing.
