George A Langlois

George A Langlois, 70, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born February 22, 1952 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Raymond and Theresa Langlois. They lived in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts until he was eight years old at which time the family moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1960.
He graduated from Mesa High School in 1970 and then entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1971 and ended up stationed at Hill Air Force Base which brought him to Utah. While in the service he began his electrical career during the Vietnam War. Upon release of active duty, he continued his career in the electrical field with several contractors in the Ogden/Salt Lake City area. He eventually founded his own business, Positive Power LLC, in 1999 then went on to retire in 2013. During his entire electrical career, he was a member of the IBEW locals #217 and #354.
George married Lynette McLean and together they had three children, Jeff, Jake, and Jodi. They later divorced. He married Denise Erskine and added her two boys to the family. They were later divorced.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding, and razor/ATV riding. He has always had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and owned several in his lifetime.
After retirement, he really enjoyed jewelry making and stonework but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family including dinners and swimming in his pool, he also loved spending time with his two dogs, Buddy and Charlie.
He is survived by two sons, Jeff (Lesa) Langlois, Jake (Alicia) Langlois, daughter, Jodi (Chris) Johnston, brother, Paul (Dorothy) Langlois, sister, Jeannine (Roger) Swanson, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two dogs, Buddy and Charlie
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Theresa Langlois, stepfather, Joseph Symbal, and both sets of grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
