Barbara was born to Fay Josephine McFall and William Higgs, Sr., and was raised in West Warren, Utah. She graduated from Weber High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Utah State University.

Teaching was her life’s work as she did it for 37 years before retiring from Roy Elementary in June of 1996.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in a variety of callings.

Barbara is survived by her brother, William Higgs, Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Max.

We would like to thank the staff at Sunridge Assisted Living Facility in Layton and Atlas Hospice for their loving care. A special thanks to those that took the time to build a friendship with her.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the West Warren Cemetery, 5544 West 1400 North. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
