DeLonie Nance Call
1953 – 2022
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, DeLonie Nance Call, was called home to her loving Father in Heaven on July 29, 2022, following a courageous battle with cancer.
DeLonie was born May 30th, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Blen and Cherry Nance. She attended Box Elder High School, graduating in 1971, and in that same year married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Robert U. Call, on December 23rd in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Bern Switzerland Temple and they were blessed with three children. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Weber State University.
Delonie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many capacities including, Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women, but her favorite was serving in the Nursery. She loved serving others.
She was an amazing seamstress and especially enjoyed making Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking and baking and made many, many wedding cakes for family and friends.
DeLonie’s family was always her highest priority. Being surrounded by family was her favorite way to spend her time and she was always planned fun family activities and prepared amazing Sunday dinners for gatherings.
She loved her work and had a successful career as a Human Resource Director for Chromalox, Vitrex, Iomega, Top Ten Reviews, and Priority Dispatch.
DeLonie is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Travis (Dawnelle), Troy (Brandi), Tracy (Brandon) Berrett; sister, Wendy (Joe) Morgan; brothers, Mel (Karen) and Kelly Nance, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Blen and Cherry Nance and mother and father in-law, Frank Wendell and Delilah Call.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Stake Center, 650 E. 3550 N., No. Ogden, UT. Viewings will be held on Sunday from 5-7 pm, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT and prior to services at the church from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, No. Ogden, UT.
