Beverly Jean Peters Hull

Aug 31, 2022

Beverly Jean Peters Hull passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 27, 2022, at the age of 90 years in Provo, Utah. Jean was born on February 10, 1932, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Edward Lloyd Peters and Dona Blanche Waters, whom she felt were the most wonderful parents in the world.

During her childhood years, she lived in Kingman, Arizona; Perry, Utah; Fresno and Redwood City, California. She had a deep love for California. She graduated from Sequoia Union High School in Redwood City, California in 1949. During high school she loved sports and participated in softball, field hockey, basketball, and became club champion in badminton.

Jean graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1956. She received teaching certificates for both Utah and California. While attending BYU, Jean met Chad Thomas Hull of Twin Falls, Idaho. They were married on June 4, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple and later divorced in 1999.

Jean loved her country and was a wonderful support during their military career of 25 years. Together they were stationed at various military bases within the United States. They met wonderful people and made lifelong friends. Jean’s greatest challenge came when she took sole responsibility of their young family while Chad served a tour of duty in Vietnam. She showed great courage and rose to the challenge beautifully during this difficult time. When civilian life came, Jean took a job with Escrow Specialists in Ogden, Utah, earned her Real Estate License, and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service where she retired after 20 years.

Jean was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions of leadership. She had a great love for music and spent years serving as ward chorister, which was always her favorite calling.

Jean was loved by all who associated with her. She was happy and pleasant to be around and always looked for the positive in others and in life. She enjoyed dancing and took great satisfaction in teaching her children and grandchildren how to jitterbug. Golf was her passion, and she would play anytime or anywhere. Some of her golf highlights included a hole-in-one and the opportunity to play the world-renowned Pebble Beach golf course. She was most happy, however, when she could play golf with her grandsons and dear friends.

Jean always felt that her greatest blessings in life were her family. She was a wonderful mother to her 3 children, grandmother to her 10 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to her 25 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Tami (Richard) Wilkinson, Shauna (Jerry) Larson, and Chad II (Amy) Hull.

Jean will be dearly missed and forever loved.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, in the Brigham City Cemetery.

Starting at $4.32/week.
