Jason Robert Hampson

Jan 19, 2022

April 4, 1982 – January 15, 2022 (age 39)

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved son Jason. After many years of battling multiple illnesses, he has returned home to his heavenly parents. He was born on April 4, 1982 to Craig and Linda Seifert Hampson in Ogden Utah. Jason graduated from Roy High School, class of 2000. Jason was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jason earned his Eagle Scout award and had many great teachers, leaders and friends in his life. He had a strong work ethic and developed some great skills with computers and car repair. While working on a project, if he needed a piece of equipment that he didn’t have he would figure out how to build it.

Jason loved traveling, going to the beach for a sunburn, cruising and spent many summers camping and riding ATV’s with his family and friends.

It was great to be the favorite uncle to his four nephews. They knew that if anything broke, it was no big deal because Jason could fix it. He enjoyed helping them and liked to take them to the skate park, drive RC cars, fly drones, and play games with them online.

Animals had a special place in his heart. His ferret Zepher would play with anything that rolled and liked to store everything under Jason’s bed. Chewy his brother’s dog loved Jason carrying him around, up high, so he could see what going on. He also loved his sister’s dog Cooper and they were inseparable. Cooper followed him closely and his favorite place was lying together on Jason’s bed and chasing the laser.

Jason will be sorely missed by his parents, siblings and family. He is survived by his grandmother VaLane Seifert Child, parents Craig and Linda Hampson, sister Amy (Brandon) Unck, brother Scott (Karen) Hampson, nephews Klay, Brody, Chase and Jared and one special niece Deja and many extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Special recognition to his Ward family and their efforts and love for him now and throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Louis Eugene Seifert, grandparents Kenneth W. and Carole Bender Hampson, and cousin Tyler Jacobozzi.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 21st at the Municipal Park Ward building at 2200 W. 5900 S. in Roy. A viewing will be held 11:30am 12:30pm; funeral to follow at 1:00pm. Internment at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, Ogden Utah.

Services under the direction of Myers Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, UT.
