Esteban “Stevie” Orosco

Our beloved brother, Esteban (Stevie) Orosco passed away July 21, 2022 surrounded by family at Ogden Regional Hospital. He was born to Juan and Balbina Orosco on January 14, 1966 in Ogden, UT.

Stevie graduated from Ogden High School in 1984. He lived a life full of kindness and service. He was a regular attendee at St. Joseph Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He worked many charitable fund-raising functions for the church. Stevie loved his job working for UTA (Utah Transit Authority). As a child Stevie was fascinated with large trucks, buses, and trains. He incorporated his passion driving buses and Trax trains by becoming a mechanic for UTA.

Stevie had many hobbies, ATV riding, camping, hiking, and attending Raptors and Bees baseball games with family and friends. He liked playing Keno and would often win by using is Chinese fortune cookie numbers he carried in his wallet for when the time came. One of his favorite vacations was to Hawaii with his sisters, Lisa and Belen. He loved traveling by train with his brothers to visit family and go to baseball games in Sacramento, CA. Stevie was a fun and witty guy who made everyone around him laugh, making every event enjoyable. We will miss Stevie very much.

Stevie is survived by his siblings, Henry (Alma) Orosco, Belen Randal, Juan (Rita) Orosco, Daniel Orosco, and Lisa Duran; nieces, Anastasia and Elisa; nephews, Joe, Isiah; and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Rose Chavez, Mary Espinoza, Shawna Montoya; his brothers, Esteban Dominguez and Rubin Orosco, sister-in-law Marisa Orosco and brother-in-law Joe Duran.

A viewing and rosary will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. Mass will be Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, UT, followed by interment at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 S. Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
