Shaun Edward Lewis

Jun 15, 2022

1969 – 2022

Shaun Edward Lewis of Eden Utah, has passed away at 53 years old, early Monday morning on June 13th, 2022. Shaun was born on February 11, 1969 in Ogden Utah, to Garn and Sandy Lewis. He spent his childhood hunting, fishing, playing sports, and bugging his three older sisters in the Ogden Valley. He spent a lot of time with his best friend, his dad, Garn. They had a special father son bond, as Shaun was his only son. He was often the leader of anything he was involved in and many remember him for his prowess in sports, especially basketball. He took this love of sports, and competition with him throughout his life and eventually would pass that on to his three sons, Tate, Tysen, and Trevor. He served an LDS mission proudly for the people of Guatemala and impacted many lives during his service. When he returned with honor, he spent time going to school at Weber State where he would eventually meet his eternal sweetheart, Tauna, a pageant queen from California. They would then marry in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 10th, 1991. Shaun and Tauna spent their whole marriage as best friends and sweethearts and loved all of their adventures together. A year later they would welcome their first son, Tate, who was their pride and joy for nearly eight years. Later they would welcome their second boy, Tysen, and a short year and a half later their youngest son Trevor. Shaun’s sons were his whole life, pride, and joy. He lived to be a father and that was his ultimate calling in life and he excelled at it. He taught his boys how to hunt, fish, and be the best they could possibly be in everything they did. He was an avid supporter of them in sports and was always the first parent to the field or court. You always knew when Shaun was at the game as he was a very loud supporter as well. Shaun loved his family more than anything and cherished every moment he had to spend with them. He truly cared for and loved everyone, no matter their walk of life and always made everyone feel important and loved. His contagious smile and his big bear hugs were legendary to anyone he met. You knew that Shaun loved you. Shaun left this life way too early from a stroke and passed away peacefully wrapped in the arms of his sweetheart and his sons at his side. He returned home to the welcoming arms of his parents and his Heavenly Father. We know we will be a family for eternity.

The funeral service will be as follows: Saturday, June 18th at the LDS Church building in Eden Utah across from Snowcrest Jr. High School. The viewing will be from 9-10:30 AM, then the service will be from 11 AM to 12 PM. Address is 2655 N Highway 162, Eden, Utah 84310.
