Scott Martin Berry

Scott Martin Berry age 68, passed away on March 19, 2022 of natural causes. He was born to Keith Martin Berry and Lois Herbert January 26, 1954, in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

His parents divorced in his youth; his mother moved them to California then later they moved to Ogden, Utah where his mother’s family were living.

He played football while attending Ogden High School where he then graduated from in 1972, and L.D.S Seminary. He received his Associate’s Degree from Weber State University and attended Ogden Weber Applied Technical College. He met and married Emma in May 1975, later being sealed for time, and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple Dec 1992.

Family and friends may remember Scott as a hardworking man who took pride in his work and had an excellent work ethic. He loved Family History and served at the Ogden L.D.S Family History Center for many years. He loved going to the Temple doing the work for his ancestors; never doing things halfway and giving a 110%, always. He served as 2nd Counselor in Sunday School for the 30th Ward, as well as security for his current Rushton Heights Ward. He worked in his youth (16) at Hill Air Force Base, received an award for Outstanding HAFB Student Employee of the year, as well as the Ogden Internal Revenue Service doing custodial work. He also worked at Thiokol, Weber State University, and Ogden City Schools.

He is survived by his wife and eternal companion, Emma Jane Berry, Ogden; his daughters, Crystal Ivie, Mario (future son-in-law), WVC, and Monica Corsi (Thad) Roy, Utah; sons, Antonio M. Martin, and Armand G. Martin Berry, Roy, Utah; his grandchildren: Christian (Kami) Knowlden-Berry, Andrea ( Jay ) Steele, Chelsea Thornley, Cali Hope Ivie, Clarissa Jane Ivie, Chance Scott Ivie, Destinee Grace (Chris) Johnson, Onestii Rose Thornton; four great-grandchildren: Kannon Scott , Max Kai, Oaklyn Ella Knowlden-Berry, and Timothy Thornley. He is also survived by one sister, Kim (Dale) Hadley, Ogden.

He was preceded in death by his parents Keith Martin, and Lois Herbert Berry, one sister Robyn Halverson, brother-in-law Stan F. Halverson, his grandparents as well as many aunts and uncles.

His wishes were to be cremated, and his ashes spread in Ireland. His cremation is being conducted by Aaron’s Mortuary.

A Celebration-of-Life service will be held in his honor Friday, March 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Rushton Heights Ward located at 1550 Rushton Street, Ogden, Utah 84401
