Bobbi Pennington Carr

May 20, 2022

1976 – 2022

Bobbi Pennington Carr went to that all-inclusive cabana in the sky on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of her life will be held on Sat. June 4 at the First Presbyterian Church of Ogden at 1 pm.

Bobbi ended her ferocious fight with cancer, which she never let get the best of her…well, until right there at the end. Until that last round, she was 7-0. Our own personal Hero! She not only fought cancer but she once had a close call with a Pringles chip, and after her death, we wondered if her obsession with Lucky Charms might have been a mitigating factor. She will be missed beyond measure.

Bobbi Leigh Pennington was born in Ogden, Utah on May 7, 1976 to George and Sidney Pennington. She almost got switched at birth which was the last time anyone would ever doubt who she was. Bobbi graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State University. She worked for Delta Air Lines for 25 years. She loved to travel and had the ability to make friends everywhere she went. In her trail she left love like pixie dust.

Bobbi had a sense of humor that would cause a chain reaction of laughter that continued until someone would usually pee their pants. Her presence would light up any room and her positivity was a leading force in her life.

Bobbi had many “loves” …. She loved The Price is Right and would politely ask if she could call you back once it was over. She loved to read obituaries (we hope she is pleased with hers). She also loved gambling–sometimes taking a risk pays off.

Bobbi’s greatest love, though, was her son Landon. He was her rock and she was so incredibly proud of the man he has become.

Bobbi married her best friend Gary Carr on April 16, 2015.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her loving father George Pennington. She is survived by her mother Sidney Pennington; her sisters Mykel Pennington (Sean Smith); Margaret Hallinan (Julian); her husband Gary Carr; her sons, Landon Mestas (Alex), Jared Carr, and Evan Carr (Briana); granddaughter Eva-Skye and tons of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, best friends and associates.
