Brett Douglas Anderson
April 13, 1962 – April 4, 2023
Our beloved Brother and Uncle, Brett Douglas Anderson passed away at his home April 4, 2023. Brett was born on Friday the 13th in Ogden, Utah to Frederick and Virginia Rucker Anderson.
After graduation from Roy High School, he joined the Navy and served honorably for four years aboard a submarine where he found his love of cooking, even though it was long hours in challenging condition coupled with a considerable volume of adventures as he served in areas of the Atlantic and Mediterranean. After his military service, he moved around a bit and worked in Utah, Idaho, and Arizona, before finding home in New Mexico. Brett had a great many wonderful friends and enjoyed building his home with the love of his life, Dianne Florian.
He served as a member of the Horse Mountain Fire Department in Datil, NM and was well-known and loved by many in the area.
Brett was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Fred R. Anderson and James R.Anderson. He is survived by brothers, Eddy Dean Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho; Michael Leon Anderson, Ogden, UT, and three sisters: Ruth Kay Foutz (David), Kathy Christine Hart (Randy), and Linda Dianne Larsen (Steven), all of Ogden, Utah. He also has many nieces and nephews who adored him.
Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 where he will be laid to rest at his home, near his dear companion, Dianne Florian. Friends are welcome to attend. There will be a celebration and time to share stories at the Cowboy Church in Datil Many thanks to his dear friends in the community.
