Kenna Williams

Kenna D. Fredrickson Williams, born on February 17, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She spent a lifetime being a dedicated, thoughtful and compassionate member of her community. She passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023, in her residence in North Ogden, Utah.

Kenna was raised and educated in Malad, Idaho. She graduated from Malad High School in 1950.

She married Percy B. Williams on Oct. 11, 1950, in Malad, Idaho. They were sealed in the Logan Temple on July 6, 1951. Together they lived in Malad (ID), San Francisco and Marysville (CA), and Logan (UT) prior to settling in Pleasant View. She then moved to North Ogden in 2002.

In her professional life, Kenna was a medical office manager, working tirelessly in the office of medical doctors. She was a woman of great dedication and thoughtfulness, qualities that were reflected in her work. In her free time, Kenna found joy in reading, gardening, lunch dates with family and friends, and she loved the Utah Symphony. She was a proud member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Kenna was a dedicated volunteer at McKay-Dee Hospital for many years. A testament to her unwavering commitment to service.

As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kenna served for over seven years as a church service missionary at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. She also served as a full-time missionary in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission. She loved the people she met and served with. She served in many callings in all auxiliaries in the church and as an ordinance worker at the Ogden Temple. Kenna’s faith was a guiding light in her life. Her belief in Jesus Christ, was one of her most cherished values.

Kenna is survived by two sons, Craig (Chris) Williams and Michael Williams and a daughter, Jill Glenn, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Percy B. Williams, her parents Kenneth and Della Fredrickson and a granddaughter, Shaylin Wiese.

There will be a viewing held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 10-11:15 am at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404. This will be followed by a graveside service at 12:00 pm at Washington Heights Memorial Park, located at 4500 S. Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, 84403.
