Ian married the love of his life, Beth Parkinson on July 25, 2012. Ian has three surviving sons, by the mother Noemi Gardea of Gregory Jamal Gardea father of granddaughter Neveah Gardea, and mother Jamie Patterson of Cameron, and Carson Parkinson.

Ian’s adult years were spent with his wife and living his life to the fullest. Ian was a man of many talents and achievements. He was a very hard-working individual, and his first job was detailing cars as a teen at Cutrubus Luxury Auto. He worked at Lofthouse Foods soon after, and became head cook within a year of employment. He then moved on to work at Gardenburger as a Sanitation Technician for a few years, but Ian’s true passion was music. Music was a huge part of Ian’s life, and he was very involved in the electronic dance music community. It led to him working with The Great Saltair which he started running a street team (Shadow Soldiers) for event promotions and hospitality company. This soon became V2 Events, the largest EDM event company in the state of Utah, and Ian worked very closely with them for 18 years and he worked for Hipointmedia. He also owned his own hospitality company, The Fresh Prince of Saltair, and provided services for various venues and artists.

Ian’s life was defined by dedication to his family, friends, and co-workers. His most cherished moments were with his family and friends either camping, attending concerts, or hanging out at his home for a BBQ. Ian also loved traveling with his wife Beth and together they would embark on scenic road trips all around the surrounding states. He was quite adventurous and loved the outdoors. His hobbies included breakdancing, tagging, DJing, video games, cooking, off-roading, fishing, and an incredibly vast knowledge of Hip-Hop. These were not just hobbies for Ian, but it was his way to bring family and friends together with joy and love. He had a larger than life persona, and to know Ian, was to laugh out loud constantly! He had a sense of humor that could bring anyone to tears, even on a bad day. Ian was full of charisma wit, and love and left a lasting impression on everyone that he encountered and is well-loved by many throughout the state of Utah and beyond. We cannot begin to share all that he packed in his 44 years of life, but he lived a well-seasoned life, and will always be remembered, and never forgotten.

Ian is survived by his wife, Beth, his children Gregory, Cameron, and Carson, his mother Georgia, his father Moses, his granddaughter Nevaeh, his sister Rebecca, Jaine, Brooklyn, brother Jonathan, Montel, many aunts, uncles, and beloved friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, three cousins, and two uncles.
