Leisa Jammie Adams of Layton passed away Sunday August 20, 2023.

Leisa was born to Stan J. Adams and Maxine Baker on October 11, 1960 in Ogden, Utah. Her parents were later divorced. Her mother married Richard McQueary and the family moved to South Lake Tahoe, California after living a short time in Layton and Idaho. Leisa was raised and attended school there and loved Tahoe.

In 1983 she decided to relocate to Utah and in 1984 she began working for United Parcel Service in Ogden, which turned out to be a nearly 40 year career for her. She retired in September of 2022.

She lived in her home in Layton until March of this year, when she moved to Chancellor Gardens Memory Care facility, where she passed away from the rages of Lewy Body Dementia.

Leisa was a Dear Aunt to several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and nieces of her three sisters and one brother.

She will be greatly missed by her family.

Leisa is survived by her sisters; Stanna Weaver, Layton, UT, Leslie (Daniel) Wilkins, Palmdale, CA, Susan (Bruce) Ogden, West Point, UT, Wendy (Terry) Baker, Layton, UT, brother Destry (Tammy) Adams, aunt Thora L. Lewis, Kaysville, UT, and many nephews, nieces and cousins that she loved.

She was preceded in death by her mom, dad, stepdad, grandparents, brother-n-law, Delynn Weaver and niece Katie Ogden.

Our family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Chancellor Gardens and Symbii Hospice for the loving care she received.

Graveside services will be held Saturday August 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Per Leisa’s request there will be no visitation services.
