September 28, 1935

Lousiville — Ann Knight Todd, née Knight, late of Louisville, CO, passed away on August 1, 2023 at Life Care Center at Stonegate after a short illness.

Ann was born in Plain City, Utah and grew up in Plain City and Hooper. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from Utah State University where she met and married Therald Francis Todd. They divorced in 1965.

Ann was known for her dedication and love for teaching, having worked as a teacher for nearly 40 years. She taught a variety of subjects, most notably math, English and speech, primarily for sixth grade. Ann was beloved by her students and able to calm her classroom with the mere raising of an eyebrow. She was fiercely independent, preferring to learn how to do things herself, rather than get someone to help her. Ann was cheerful and upbeat, with a wicked sense of humor and was dedicated to both old and new friends.

After retiring from Ogden City Schools in 1997, Ann moved to Louisville, Colorado where she worked part time when she first arrived. Ann was very active in her retirement, engaging in activities such as the Louisville Senior Center’s choir.

Ann is survived by her son, Allen Todd (Irene); daughter, Jennie Fitzgerald (James); daughter, Bobbie Todd; grandson, Andrew Todd; grandson, Elan Poteet (Michelle); great granddaughter, Violet Mae; great grandson, Bastion; sister Sharon (Guy) Larking and sister Norma Hansen. In honor of Ann, a donation can be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in lieu of a traditional funeral or memorial service.

Starting at $4.32/week.
